Some days it's fun to just take apart some electronics and see what's inside. This was one of those days. These pics show inside a Triplett Model 630-A analog multimeter that can read up to 6,000 Volts AC & DC, and infinite number of Ohms, and somehow, power via a DB scale. It still has an inventory tag from the Douglas Aircraft company that built airplanes from 1921 thru 1967. So this meter was used somewhere in that time frame. The 30 volt battery is dead, so I can't tell if it works. But it's a work of art anyway.
