We are starting a new Tech Night at the CVMake Makerspace, where we take deep dives into random technologies. Hopefully this we can make technology accessible to people of all levels.
This first week, Dan will start with USB: The lowly Universal Serial Bus. How did it start? How is the protocol designed? What even is a protocol anyway? Why can’t the cables be longer? What do the signals look like? How hard is it to make a device that pretends to be a keyboard or a mouse?
